Cancellation & Refund Policy

Sid Kothari Prosthodontics – Continuing Professional Development Programs

This policy is issued in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies to which a consumer may be entitled under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Registration & Payment Processing Fees

Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of payment (deposit or full course fee).

Payment processing fees (including Stripe fees) are non-refundable, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law. These fees are charged by third-party providers and are not retained by Sid Kothari Prosthodontics.

2. Participant Cancellation

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.

More than 60 days before the course

  • Refund of course fee paid, less the non-refundable deposit and payment processing fees; or
  • Full course credit valid for 12 months.

30–60 days before the course

  • 50% of the total course fee refundable (less payment processing fees); or
  • Full course credit valid for 12 months.

Less than 30 days before the course

  • No refund available.
  • Transfer to another eligible participant permitted with written notice.
  • A course credit may be considered at the organiser’s discretion.

Less than 14 days before the course

  • No refund or credit available.
  • Participant substitution permitted if arranged prior to the event.

3. Failure to Attend

Non-attendance without prior written notice does not entitle the participant to a refund or credit, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Transfers

One transfer per registration may be permitted within a 12-month period.

If transferring to a higher-value program, the difference in course fees is payable.

5. Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Organiser

Sid Kothari Prosthodontics reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a program due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Minimum enrolment numbers not being met
  • Venue unavailability
  • Presenter illness
  • Government restrictions
  • Force majeure events

In such circumstances, participants will be offered:

  • A full refund of course fees paid (less payment processing fees); or
  • A full credit toward a future program.

To the extent permitted by law, Sid Kothari Prosthodontics is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other incidental or consequential expenses incurred by participants.

6. Residency Programs (Multi-Module Programs)

Once the program has commenced:

  • Fees are non-refundable, except as required under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • Any agreed payment plan remains payable in accordance with the original terms.

7. Consumer Guarantees

Under the Australian Consumer Law, services are provided with statutory consumer guarantees.

If a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, participants may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

This policy operates subject to those statutory rights.
